56. The International Art Exhibition, organized by the Biennale, will take place from May 9 to November 22, 2015 at the Giardini and Arsenale (paint 6, 7 and 8 May) of Venice. In addition to the two institutional settings will join many other locations around the city, which will become the headquarters of various national pavilions. Venice is thus transformed into a major exhibition of contemporary art.
The curator of the exhibition this year is Okwui Enwezor that for the 56. International Art Exhibition has chosen the theme All the World’s Futures.
Okwui Enwezor thus explained his project:
“The fractures that today surround us and which abound in every corner of the world scene, evoking the rubble of previous disasters evanescent accumulated at the foot of the angel of history nell’Angelus Novus. How to fully grasp the anxiety of our time, make it understandable, examine and articulate it? The radical changes that have occurred over the past two centuries have produced new and fascinating insights for artists, writers, filmmakers, performers, composers and musicians. And is recognizing the condition that the 56. International Art Exhibition of the Venice Biennale offers All the World’s Futures, a project dedicated to a reassessment of the relationship between art and artists in the current state of things. “
